    268 Islander make over

The shop I had paint the hull , did redo some gelcoat around the rub rail . I replaced the rub rail also , but he mixed his own color. There is a company on ebay that I have bought Grady White color gel coat from and it is a very good match.

    268 Islander make over

Sorry I just seen this message , I removed both bulkeds and still had to notch the steps. There is no way to remove the tank whole without notching the steps or rear compartment.

    Islander bow thruster

I just ordered the Bow Thruster , joystick controller , wiring harness , fiberglass tube from Mauripro Sailing . The total was $2153.00 , they are having some kind of sale. This was the 100 pound thrust unit (VTSBOW4512D) not ignition protected. Best price I could find . I was quoted 9K from...

    Islander bow thruster

Thank you for sharing this installation , looks awesome ! I will be doing the same mod to my islander this fall , how far forward is your tube from the bulkhead ? The height was not an issue for the forward compartment cover to go on ? Thank you again for sharing

1995 Islander 268 Removing fuel Tank

Well I found out the only way the tank can be removed is to cut the stairs , there's not enough room even removing the bulked at the rear. My tank looks like new , no corrosion . Tank was coated by Florida Marine when new .Thank you for the link !

Thank you so much for the link ! I searched and somehow missed your post , I will keep you posted how I make out ? My brother had suggested the same thing that you did with the bore scope , this boat spent it's life in fresh water so we'll see how it looks underneath ? Thank you again !

1995 Islander 268 Removing fuel Tank

Hi , I pulled up the access covers on the floor and want to remove and inspect the main fuel tank . The tank looks good from what I can see but still want to inspect the bottom to make sure. It looks like if I cut the one bulkhead closest to the tank and trim the back one down I can slide it out...

Bought My first Grady White today !

This 225 that's on the boat now has an extension on it , you can remove it to make the leg shorter. Right now it's set up as a 30 inch . I am thinking at least twin 200 hp engines ? see what comes along .
