It's not a big GW... draft is about 18" so I routinely use it in the bay. Scuppers are above water but only a couple of inches... I like the idea of putting weight back there to test it... I'll give that a try, thanks!

On my 2006 GW 225 Tournament, my Yamaha 250 is mounted on a bracket to the swim platform. Has anyone ever mounted a power pole to the swim platform? Are they heavy? ...don't want to put excess weight on the transom. Also, does anyone know of a bimini extender for a Tournament 225?

Does anyone make a weatherstripping or gasket kit for a 2006 Tournament? I'd like to replace all of the rubber on my hull... doors, hatches, access ports, etc., but I'd like to purchase them pre-formed for a perfect seal.

I'm sure this has been covered somewhere, however I am unable to locate specific information. I have a 2006 Tournament 225 and I had all of the seats and bolsters reupholstered. The helm seats however have solid vinyl arm rests that are stained. I see on forums that there are vinyl paints...

Interesting, I do have one rust run that I asked my mechanic about and he just said it's from from the salt water corrosion on the bolt.

I noticed that the sealant between the swim platform and the transom on my Tournament 225 is starting to crack. Do I need to remove the entire platform or can I just pull out the old sealant and shoot some new sealant in? Any recommendations for sealant?

The fabricator suggested that a soft top would cost less and achieve the goal as the hardtop... only reason why I mentioned it. He wants $10k for the hard top... about half that for the soft top.

My bimini top is like new... no complaints about the condition. I'd never sell the boat to get a hardtop... it's been long paid for and I keep pouring $$ into it. The only reason why I raised the question about the hardtop was that we are not as young as we used to be and it seemed to be a bit...

Interesting... everyone is telling me that adding a hardtop will add value to the boat... I don't trailer it, it's racked at a marina high and dry... The fabricator said that a rigid soft top would have about the same weight as the bimini... That said, I do follow your logic and it makes sense...

I don't have a oversized bimini, I believe it was glacierbaze that said that he picked up an oversized bimini...

I'm thinking some kind of carbon fiber cover might work... thanks for the ideas!

I don't know if this is common or not but when I bought my boat (second owner), it had dead switches and a radio that no longer worked, but had been left in place. The switches and radio had been replaced, but the old stuff was just left where it was. Today I had all of the obsolete switches...
