    RE: trim, my 1997 208 sits pretty well with kicker and oil tank to port and two batteries to starboard.

    You can get custom mixed Awlgrip colors. Might be possible to match.

    Tampa Area Surveyor & Yami tech

    Beware that not all surveyors were created equal, even NAMS or SAMS certified. You might do well to call around to a couple local yards and ask who they would recommend to survey a boat they were personally buying. They'll know who the good guys are and who will just give you a glossy report.

    Thanks guys. Went for a test ride today and the boat ran great. I don't see a need for trim tabs at the moment.

    Thanks all, I suppose there is a reason this boat is almost 25 years old and doesn't have tabs. I'll run it a bit and see how it goes.

    Hi all, I’m close to purchasing a 1997 208 that does not have trim tabs. I will probably install them pretty quickly as it seems they are needed. Suggested models? Any tips for installation?
