    What happened here?

That makes sense!! I didn't think that maybe it stalled but that would explain it... Tough to hear the humming of the engines over the alarm. In fact, the more I think of it, the more I'm thinking that is what happened. Thank you!

    What happened here?

2005 GW 282 Sailfish with twin 225 yamaha’s Quick question: This past weekend I was fishing/drifting with engines in neutral and went into some low water. Starboard engine went into alarm. I noticed it was showing 0 rpm but it was still running. Raised both engines about a foot and put them in...

    Block GW sailfish 282

Thanks for the reply. I tried to put the boat on a slight decline and tried to crank it but no go. I figure even if I take most of the weight off the trailer, I should be able to use the winch to move the trailer Thanks again.

    Compression test on Yamaha LF225's

Seasick, Thank you for the reply. The exhausts were done about 5 years ago and they provided all the paperwork. I didn't have them checked. I just purchased an online version of the service manual and all it says is "Minimum compression pressure (reference data): 880 kPa (8.8 kgf/cm2, 125...

    Compression test on Yamaha LF225's

Can someone tell me if these numbers are OK for a compression test? I'm buying a GW282 Sailfish with twin 2005 Yamaha LF225TXRD 500hrs Marina says it is all in spec but I thought the numbers needed to be between 170 and 190. I just walked away from a boat because the compression test were all...
