Throttle/shifter control hard to push on a 1991 Overnighter

Yep... Check the throttle bodies. I just had the same issue on a Johnson 130 and found that the port side throttle bodies were corroded and have to be replaced. I disconnected the port side linkage and she moved very easily. Good luck!

Lake Lanier the past 3 weekends...

Got one. 2 8' antennas on board... One VHF and one AM/FM. I need the 8' for the gulf. I've found though that the "line of sight" really makes itself evident on the lake when using the VHF on Lake Lanier! I'll be monitoring 16.

Lake Lanier the past 3 weekends...

Too funny. I started a thread on my "home" forum of FS Sportsman Online (Northwest Forum) about how many internet forums we all use! I guess I'll be adding another one to my list of 6!

Lake Lanier the past 3 weekends...

Hammond's sells it. They sell Bass ProShops brand too. $$ well spent. Takes a little getting used to, but (from what I understand), it's easier than using downriggers (less to deal with). I'm always happy to share what is working for me. I'm not one of those fishermen who hide what they...

Lake Lanier the past 3 weekends...

Here it goes: 27# leadcore, 9 colors out, doing 3 - 3.5mph. Leader: 20# mono about 8-10' long to a 1 1/2oz. white bucktail jig (with a little foil in it) and a 6" chartreus grub/curlytail trailer. If something isn't happening, I'll reel one of my 2 lines in by ONE color and see if that...

Lake Lanier the past 3 weekends...

That must have been you with the light colored bimini? (and hair to match?) Not trying to be rude, but my mind put those two together! You fly one flag on your boat?

Lake Lanier the past 3 weekends...

Joy, (the boat beagle) says she'd love to meet Jake, but hurry... "THE OPERATION" is coming soon! We'll see you out there this weekend, I'm sure.

    Lake Lanier this past weekend...

6TM , you are right, is Two Mile... The marker is on the island my wife and I camp out on. "Our" site has a great view of the sunset. We fish mainly in the main river channel from 3 Sisters all the way down to coctail cove. (At least that is where we were catching them last weekend!)...

    Lake Lanier this past weekend...

I'm sure I saw you then. I am always looking for other Gradys out there and I have seen 3 (other than my own) so far. If you ever see my old GW on the water or pulled up to shore at 6TM, pull on over! We love company at our beach-side grill! 8)

    Lake Lanier this past weekend...

Been out there the past 3 weekends in a row and keep seeing the same guy in his 22'? GW. Has a light bimini on it, flying one flag... He waved at me a few times as he passed me in the main river channel, just below 6-mile creek... Was that anyone from here? I was the guy in this...

    Lake Lanier Georgia - 8/18 - 8/20

Great! I'm in this: My wife and I will (more than likely) be trolling for striper just outside 6-mile and doing some tubing. We'll be camped just inside 2-mile, if you head in from 6-mile. Hope to meet some of you! 8)

    Lake Lanier Georgia - 8/18 - 8/20

My wife and I have gotten into catching 15# striped bass in Lake Lanier by day and sleeping/camping on our '74 GW 212 Chesapeake by night... If anyone is interested, drop your boat in the lake and call us on VHF ch.16 or... Look for the vintage Grady with a bimini and 2 antennae! Y'all...

'74 GW 212 Chesapeake Repower is DONE!

Thanks Rod! I'm a lucky/blessed man for sure. My wife loves to go fishing as much, if not more than I do. She usually out fishes me, thus insuring the next trip! Nope, I've not done too bad at all, if I do say so myself! 8)

'74 GW 212 Chesapeake Repower is DONE!

It is called a Gag Grouper. In the Northwestern Florida Gulf Coast, that is one of the "targets" we have. Others include: Red Grouper Red Snapper Cobia Amberjack ...just to name a few, but those Gag Grouper are such great eating! Here's the haul for the day: Not bad for a...

'74 GW 212 Chesapeake Repower is DONE!

And this is from her sea-trials this past weekend out of Carrabelle, Florida. This was one of 7 for one day: I guess she's back in action now! High gas prices? SO WHAT???? I'm burnin' some fuel this year! (But not too much as the GM L6 250 cid / 165hp power in my boat SIPS gas!!!!)...
