Were you able to pull out the old butt connectors to the horn when you pulled the wire out before you replaced with the new horn? I have not been able to get the wire out of the hole.

The shop I was referred to unbolted and lifted the OB enough to remove,reseal and replace the trim. He removed, resealed and replaced all four sides. Dropped off in AM and picked up that same afternoon.

Last year my alarm went off slow trolling. It was the two thermostats in my 200HPDI. I would check them first.

Dave I don't like gimble mounts for downriggers. I mounted the Scotty base to the top of the rail and have a stainless steel plate under the rail for backing. For Monterey Bay it's best to get out before 7AM as the wind usually comes up around noon. Do you go out of Santa Cruz?
