    Take the head unit out, everything plugs into the back, on mine they used the AUX to provide a place to plug in an iphone, etc, via RCA jacks with adapter in the area behind the door behind the helm

    Just a thought, the motor should be trimmed all the way down when starting from off plane, very difficult to get the boat on plane when the motor is not trimmed all the way down

    Get one that has a wireless remote, they come with two, one to mount at the helm and the other to hold. Mine is mounted on the hardtop on the starboard side.

    I have a Droid, Google maps eliminates the need for a GPS totally. Can you download marine maps for this? This would be a great Backup for my 4212.

    Ethanol Fuel Problems

    Back when MTBE was added to fuel and ethanol first came out you could not mix the two, nobody has any fuel today that contains MTBE, it is perfectly fine to mix ethanol fuel with none ethanol fuel, all you are doing is diluting the % of ethanol.

    Should I have my fuel sender repaired under warranty

    I the same boat, an 09 however, and while the fuel bar display on the command link gauge is not very accurate the fuel burn number on the same gauge is spot on within 1 gallon or so. I do not even look at the bar gauge but rather rely totally on the fuel burn number.

    The canvas is much easier to put on when it is warm, the cold contracts it, either take in the house overnight or use a hairdryer to warm it up, makes it much easier to snap it down
