4 Stroke, F225 Required Maintenance Info

Greetings,

Looking for information regarding the required maintenance for the 4 stroke engines, specifically the F225s ( 2003/2004 ), I am hearing things like at 500 hours valve train maint, nn hours = timing belt change etc..does anyone have a full/complete list or can point to any documentation ? Also is the maint something that has to be done professionally etc..

I got the owner's manual from the Yamaha Website - not the service manual, unfortunately. I believe that you may be able to buy that online, or find in through eBay (?).

the Yamaha PDFs are locked, but I am sure that you can print them, somehow...

I just purchased a 2005 Grady 228G with a yamaha 225 and I was looking for the service manual also and found it on line. I went to Yamaha site and looked up the part number of the manual and did a search, and found this manual with the same part number, I think this will work.
