    Repair hatch with no wood??

So my plan is to grind down the edges that are damages and use 3M Marine Premium Filler to build up the area. I’ll have to finish with color match gel coat. I need help on how to do the top where non skid is though. I know there are numerous tutorials on how to create non skid. My issue is...

    Front hatch glass replacement

I dealt with this exact situation. My dad lost his balance on the bow and his butt cracked mine. Tried for a couple weeks finding a local source. I ended up ordering a new one from this site. It was quick and easy to deal with. https://www.mauriprosailing.com/us/category/2-Lewmar-Hatches.html

    98 Adventure helm bulkhead replacement

It was time...once the white veneer is coming off, it’s got to be replaced. So many bolts...at least they were all stainless and in good shape. Once again, screws and bolts not properly bedded in caulk is the cause of rot. I guess 20+ year for a boat that has been used isn’t too bad haha.

    Repair hatch with no wood??

Yes, it is cracked on the bottom from where the gas shock mechanism screws to it. I’m just surprised that it has flex to it with no wood structure inside of it.

    Repair hatch with no wood??

Guys, I’ve got an 98 Adventure 208 and both of my hatches are in bad shape. They have the normal chipping and cracking. Gel coat/non skid is chipping off on the top because of water intrusion. The thing I can figure out is how to fix it since there is no wood core? I took them to a reputable...

Penetrating epoxy into freshwater hatch help

I started cutting this corner back and I just want to make sure that this use to be wood before I get too far into it. I was just going to cut those couple corners back and then just use some chopstrand to replace/reinforce.

Penetrating epoxy into freshwater hatch help

It was definitely coming in through one failing portion of caulk and a couple of the screw holes. My fishbox and live well hatch are both toast so I have some projects ahead of me.

Penetrating epoxy into freshwater hatch help

Thanks Hookup... I posted a picture of the whole hatch early in the thread. Sorry, I was having an issue sending them all at one time. I really appreciate the advice. I got some penetrating epoxy but I guess that’s not really what I needed.

Penetrating epoxy into freshwater hatch help

Hey guys, I was wondering if there are any tips to doing this. Yesterday I got rid of the old caulk and thought I’d pull the hatch over my freshawater tank on my 208 Adventure and found two small wet spots. I have a heat lamp on the areas as we speak to make sure it’s dried out. I went to...

Looking for older Adventure 208 comparison

I’ve got a 98 and mine is a dry storage area with a single door. It is carpeted. I’ll shoot you a picture later this afternoon once I get home from work. I keep spare ropes and tube pump in there.

He definitely tried a cutting compound but bc it becomes gummy when coming off... he didn’t think that was the way to go.
