Come on guys???

Looking at possibly buying a 97' 232 gulfstream, freshwater boat. Everything looks clean. It has an evinrude oceanpro 250. Is there anything in particular i need to look at on these model boats? Any known problems? etc etc

No they didn't put bottom paint on it, it HAD bottom paint and i wanted it removed so they sanded it off, found the gelcoat cracks and decided to respray it with gelcoat.

Nice! I just spent 3k getting my bottom paint sanded off and re-gel-coated. Mine had a bunch of hairline cracks in the gelcoat as well as some actual chips about the size of a quarter, so they had to fill in all the cracks and respray with gelcoat.

So i have a 1987 206g overnighter and it has some rotton wood around the fuel tank under the cover. The tops of the stringers on both sides from the top to about 3" down are starting to rot and the cored fiberglass directly astern of the fuel tank is completely shot. The fuel tank is fine but...

The only time you should be using that light is if you're at anchor. Underway the only lights that should be on are your bow lights and a stern light. You can look at the rules of the road if you don't believe me.

Enjoying the heck out of this boat! Grady sure knows how to build a boat! Rides like a charm and very dry. This boat feels like it has more space than my dad's 25' world cat!

Gas tank looked good, i stuck my head down in there and couldn't smell any leaks. I expect to have to replace it eventually though. Do people normally upgrade to plastic tanks? or do you have to stick with aluminum?
