any hint how to change the aft bilge pump--I can't reach it. I am thinking of just putting an new bigle pump just forward of the generator for easy access.

I WOULD MOVE IT TO.WE HAVE ONE SMALL GUY AT OUR SHOP JUST FOR THAT KIND OF JOB. IT IS HARD TO GET TO AFT PUMP IN THAT MODEL NO EASY FIX. JUST MOVE IT.

It's a apain. I mounted my switch and pump on a piece of aluminum angle with a long aluminum flat stock bolted to it. I then screwed the flatstock intothe transom. Now if goes bad I just pull the bracket out and replace.

i don't know if they changed the make in 2009, but i have the snap in model. you have to reach way down and push the tabs in then pop out the pump from the screwed down housing. i did it to check to see it was clear. then just replace the pump (i would not expect it to be uncomplicated). mine is the same as the forward pump so you can see how it unsnaps. ron

I remember on mine ('07) the neck of the pump had broken off and called the dealer, he send a guy to my marina and all he did was he leaned and removed the old pump, re attach the hose and snapped it in place. When he left i opened the round inspection plate to see what he did and tried to reach the pump, i couldn't even touch the top portion of it, i think the guy had extendable arms............ What i'm trying to say here is that it is poor design there.

I have an 03 and changed the pump this past summer. I had my boat on the trailer and could stand at the transom and reach down to the pump with no problem.
I could see if would be a problem with the boat in the water.
