I noticed there are no latches on these lids over the batteries. After going through a somewhat painful process with Grady and Wise to get the right seat cushions (kudos to Grady for making it right though) I find that I don't use the seats all the time. Only when my son comes with me. With the bottoms installed it reasons that the lids may stay down or at least have some stoppage from flying open.

I trailer my boat and have about an hour drive to the ocean. When I got the boat the seat hinges were loose and I had to remove the open ended screws and replace with through bolts with washers and nuts. Those lids seem very heavy and I would think they stay down on their own? But since they are heavy I also don't want them slapping up and down so considering putting a southco lid latch like what is up on the two front storage boxes.

Thoughts from anyone that has added these or considered doing this?

I don't think you will need it. On my 180, they never flipped open.

I too had to replace the screws.

Just make sure the cushions are secured or they will blow out. I had to replace one - $150 a pop at my local shop to get one made.
