Hi all. I have had this boat for 3 years and store it on a rack. About a year ago the marina launched the boat for me and after a few days in the water it had taken on a lot of water to a point that it was almost at the gunnels. The bilge was basically dry so I think the water is coming in through the scuppers. Has anyone experienced this before?

I'm not following. The bilge can't be dry if the boat sank so far as to be almost at the gunwales.

The scuppers aren't the problem. They are above the water line - essentially, water can come and go through that as it pleases with no issues.

And... wait a minute... is this a joke? This was a year ago that this happened?

Need better info.

This happened recently and also a year ago. When they pulled the boat no water came out of drain plug in stern, it all drained from the scuppers.

Still doesn't make sense, though - at least based on how you are writing things. Go look at your boat - there's no way for that to happen without water getting into the bilge. Water would have to be in the bilge FIRST in order to get the scuppers underwater. And once the scuppers were sufficiently under water, MORE water would then get into the bilge.

Hey man, that’s a rough situation. If your bilge was dry, I’d definitely look at the scuppers. If they’re sitting low in the water or the flaps/balls are worn out, they can let water back in pretty easily. Also worth checking for cracked/loose drain hoses and any extra weight in the back that might be making the stern ride low. A quick hose test on the trailer can usually show where it’s coming from. Hopefully it’s just a simple scupper valve fix.

The cockpit deck and drains are/should be above the waterline. The drains connect with a short hose to a below the waterline fitting with a rubber flapper. If your cockpit deck and drains are below the waterline when sitting and the hoses are good it is possible water could come in thru the deck drains into the cockpit. If enough water fills the cockpit it could lower the boat further in the water and sink it further. I suppose it's possible that no water gets into the bilge until boat completely sinks.

This is an unlikely situation with a normal GW. Do you have anything that is weighing down the back of the boat? How do the deck drains and cockpit look relative to the waterline when in the water?

On this boat, though, it is different. There are no hoses to connect deck drains to the scuppers. The "deck drain" is simply IN the transom with the scuppers on the other side (think: motor well drain). The bilge is also an open "pit" underneath the motor well (although it has a 3" or 4" "dam" around the perimeter of the pit.
