Just purchased the old girl and want to bring her back to her glory days. She has twin 1999 200 saltwater series Yamaha's that run great. The issue is I have a leaking tank. The boat has two tanks 125gls and 73gls. I filled and took her out and smelled fuel. Had anyone ever replaced tanks and is so where do you get them.

Rdavis - congrats on the new boat. Sorry to hear about the leak. There is lots of info here but it is hard to search directly because common words like "Sailfish" and "leak" are rejected. Instead, go to Google and enter the following line in the window:

site:www.greatgrady.com sailfish fuel leak tank

A few example hits are:

Good luck,

hello, congrats on your new boat ! i had a leaking gas problem , turned out to be leaking from the fuel sending unit on top of the tank. common problem & very easy to fix if u have access. hope thats all it is.

I replaced both of those tanks on my 1987 Sailfish and there are pictures here on this site. I had mine custom made locally because I required removal and installation. Florida Marine Tanks made the originals and they are still around to make them for you.

Can you send me the ink to you pictures? I couldn't seem to find them. I am in Florida so maybe Florida Marine Tanks is my answer. I took the floors up today, it appears someone has removed the floors before.
