]Purchased this 1988 Overnighter and trailer for $500. Older couple who I bought from said it had bad motor and not worth cleaning or fixing. Fuel tank had hole and plug wires were mixed up, took a whole 45 min to get her running. Boat has sat outside since new and has 230 hours. Motor is a 1999 225 which runs perfect now. Installed new 60 gal fuel tank, electronics, and major cleaning. Total invested about $1200 and 100 hrs of my time. I forgot to take pics before pressure cleaning so first pics were after pressure cleaning. What do you think?

Sounds like you got a deal! Bet you it will run great when you get her in the water. Great to have another 20' on board.

wow what a find... you stole that boat. Great job refreshing her.

yes you sto-le it , nice job, . I snapped up a deal like that on a collectable car a few years ago.

That rig should fly with a 225 and bracket. I would guess high 40's

use it and enjoy!

Also can you post or message me if you were able to take the old fuel tank out without cutting any part of the deck/floor of the boat. (I have a 1989 204)

I just recently bought an '87 204C with a Suzuki 225 and can verify that high 40s will be no problem.
I would really like to hear more about your tank replacement too. I also pulled the cover over the tank and made my own observation on how tightly shoe horned in the tank was.
