My 268 Islander went down due to a failed a seacock. Both motors and everything electrical needs to be rebuilt/replaced. I was underinsured and I am currently working to close out the claim with insurance but it I am pretty much screwed however this plays out- my fault for not buying enough coverage. I doubt the insurance company wants to deal with disposal and I hate to see this hull get scraped.

If insurance tries to leave me with disposal responsibility, is there any interest in the hull and everything attached? It would be a "get it out of my yard giveaway situation". This is the largest legally permit free trailerable hull of this era and could be a great project for the right person. Trailer or water tow will be necessary. Located in Williamsburg, VA. I am not on this forum much so if you are seriously interested, text me: seven5seven, 642, seventy, nineteen. Chris.

Put some pictures up of the boat. Do you have a clear title to go with the hull?

Try to PM this guy. He is looking for a hardtop and tower.

I may be interested in hatches (anchor locker, port/star over bait well and fish box and aft storage port side with tub. Also black plexiglass over entrance to cabin. Rear seat cushion (mainly for the plastic frame) to recover it.

Someone might be interest in bow pulpit too.

Lots of the fiberglass parts above don't age well. They require significant refurbishing. Sometimes it better to build new ones.
