1996 marlin head questions

Hey guys I’m new to this board I just purchased a 96 marlin and I can’t figure out the head system, it’s working fine but I want to pump out the holding tank when I’m offshore but it seams like the pump is out but I don’t know where to start.

I will post pictures when I figure out how to lol

What does "out" mean? It's not physically in the boat? It is there, but no sound? It makes sound but nothing happens?

Things you can investigate on your boat...

-- What type of head system do you have.
-- Do you actually have a macerator and is it located in the tank, or external.
-- Is power getting to the mac when you activate it.
-- Does your seacock have a disabling/interlock switch.
-- Did you open the seacock.
 
Denis those are all things I’m trying to figure out. I have a macerator pump where it is is still under investigation I’ve never had a boat with a head before. As to what kind of head system it is I have to check.


When I hit the button there’s no sound and nothing happening

I can’t for the life of me figure out how to post a picture on here or I would to show you have I have
 
I just got a 2003 Marlin 30 and I’m figuring out the head system as I go. I was told the boat has a masarator but I Boat where open discharges are illegal. So the outlet seacock is wired shut and the marinas have pump-out facilities. The Grady White web site has a manual archive where you can pull up the manual for your year Marlin. On mine I’m not sure the forward bilge pump works and there’s a diagram in the manual

Not sure about the 96 model but mine has a breaker on the DC panel labelled "Holding Tank Discharge". This must be in the ON Position. Be sure the discharge seacock is open.......
