Does anyone know what kind of drain tube goes into this fitting in the bottom of my livewell?

Sorry, but I'm stumped. I've owned Gradys from that era and they had the 1.5", threaded standpipe. It looks to me like someone replaced the factory fitting with this R.C. Marine 1/2" O.D. fitting. Doesn't seem like a 1/2" outside diameter standpipe could move much water.

I googled this brand, as I'm sure you have, and I couldn't find anything like it.

Thinking way outside the box, you might end up cutting some long notches in 1/2" PVC, maybe with a thin smear of silicone caulk for a snug fit?

Maybe someone did this, along with downsizing the livewell pump, to reduce flow so as to accommodate some really fragile baits?

Sorry, not the most helpful reply for a fellow Sailfish owner.

Is it an actual livewell... or is it just a storage/fishbox? If the latter, it's just a normal drain. The notches are there to aid in installation/removal.
It is an actual livewell, but the more I look around, the more I feel that the previous owner replaced the standard fitting with this one. As much as hate the idea of trying get in under the livewell to replace this with the correct fitting, I think that may be the right course of action.

Yeah I’m struggling to understand why the previous owner put this in . It clearly doesn’t even sit right in the livewell, hence the gobs of caulk to try to fill the gap. I’ll likely have to yank it out and replace it.

Yeah, since it's an actual livewell, you must be right. Obviously that fitting has been replaced. But it is strange - I mean, replacing a livewell drain fitting or that one... it's the same amount of work. Maybe he didn't care about the livewell and just used something laying around.

Don't be afraid to cut an access hole - go as big as you can.
