I actually forgot my old login and the email server I had when I had my old username is closed so I’m starting from scratch(only had a handful of posts anyway).
I am replacing my ‘95 268 Islander that came apart and sunk just outside the St Lucie inlet earlier this year. I have been looking at 272 and 282 Sailfish but they are flying off the shelves at a crazy pace. I have found a ‘99 272 w/twin F250’s. Very surprised how much bigger it is than the Islander. My question for any 272 owners is have you had any problems with wet stringers or transom? I am planning on buying a boat to have for at least the next 10 years and possibly repowering then after I retire. I know this year has the extended planing surface and Greenboard. Any info would be appreciated.
