Need new hull stripes Anyone have any recommendations? Reached out to Grady but they no longer provide for a 25 year old hull

I have taken strips off old boats but have never replaced it. The hull stripes are available but the GW dealing may not be - check with a GW dealer.

I have tried removing the strips and decals a lot of ways. 3M eraser wheel, razor blades. The best way I have found is to use a Dremel tool and grind the edge of a razor blade. This will prevent the edge digging into gelcoat and making a mess - and it will! use a heat gun to warm the stripe up and gently lift the vinyl. Follow the length - don't come in from the side. The gelcoat under the stripe is raised slightly protected from the UV. When you clean off the adhesive use acetone or 3M's adhesive remover (VOC cocktail that doesn't flash off so quickly. Change rags frequently and throw them out otherwise you just keep moving the adhesive around.

Anytime I put a vinyl boat name of I spray the area with water bottle with a few squirts of dish detergent. It lets me move things around and re-position things. Without it the vinyl will stick and can't be moved.

thanks for the advice I checked with Taylor Marine who specializes in GW parts but they no longer handle either. I've see some aftermarket sites and wonder if anyone has used them Not sure of the quality

I purchased the Hullstripes for my 2006 228 through Hullstripes.com.
The quality is very good.
I went with the Premium OEM stripes.

I went with late model stripes when I re-did mine. Went from 2004 to 2022 style. Cleaned up the look.

We removed the stripes last year, worked with a vinyl sign maker to replace. Similar colors, slightly narrower.
You can buy a decal eraser from Amazon, very helpful in removing the old stripe. Good luck. Here’s our Gulfstream now.

I measured the width of the stripes and the space between and specified the colours for the multi-stripe roll.

This is how I ordered mine.

2 x 50 Feet Multi Stripe Rolls - Premium Vinyl
1 1/16 Dark Blue
1/16 Inch Gap
1/8 Inch Ultra Gold Metallic
3/16 Inch Gap
1/4 Inch Dark Blue
