Has anyone had a hard time removing the lower unit.
I removed all the bolts + the hidden ones under the trim tab
and cant get it to budge seems its stuck on the driveshaft.
Any Idea's

You need to give it some persuasion with a rubber mallet. Does it lower at all when all the bolts are removed? Enough banging should eventually get it off. Make sure that you grease up the holes before reinserting the bolts. You'll thank yourself next time you have to remove the lower unit.

I can only get it to drop about .020 -.030 .
I would bet it has never be apart before
I will keep trying today maybe larger mallet ....

I just changed an impeller on a 2005 F-225. There are 9 bolts total.
Three on each side. One for the trim tab that you get to afetr removing the rubber plug. And another 2 under neath. I had the same proplem until I found that ninth bolt. Good Luck

Do this if your replacing the impeller

sometimes on older impellers, if you spin the flywheel the wrong way, you can braek fins off
