I'm looking to install a pedestal seat for the port side of boat. The owner had sent the back to back seats out for reupholstering and never got them back. I like that the back is so open and will keep it that way but need another seat for a passenger. The question is I saw somewhere, either here or THT about being able to get a build 'plan' if you would of my boat. That would show where the stringers are and what might be under the floor to attach the pedestal to. Also I read, don't remember where, of someone using a tool to clear out the foam sort of a L shape. Any ideas, thoughts and or information that any of you have and would like to share would be appreciated. Thanks.SeatPosition2.png

Put it where you want it. There won't be a stringer... possibly a bulkhead... but if you run into that, great - extra meat to screw in to.

And, yes, use Toggler's and don't worry about trying to find any subfloor bracing. You may/may not have any foam in the way - it's not sprayed into the hull in any sort of scientific way :) And, yes, an L-shaped tool will work to clear foam. It's nothing special - just L-shaped. Don't overthink this part - an allen wrench or even a bent coat hanger.
