I have a Grady White Marlin 2003 with a windlass. Does anyone know the chain size the windlass accepts as I need a new rope due to fraying? This is a factory addition.
Probably a Lewmar 700 maybe a 1000. Check your windlass model number and then their website for chain and rode sizes. Most likely 1/2" rode and 5/16 chain. Most windlasses work best with 8-plait rode versus 3 strand nylon. Lays better in the locker and doesn't tangle as much
