2004 GW Express Crusier Buzzards Bay

Looking to sell my 2004 Grady White 33 express cruiser probably one of the dryer boats in the area of Buzzards Bay. In 2023 the port side core replacement was done from midships to stern. Engines removed transom grounded down epoxy and recapped both done by East Coast fiberglass in Pembroke. At the same time, the hard top was rebedded as well as the front hatches. In 2023 replaced air conditioning raw water pump replaced stern bilge pump replaced batteries. New electronics installed in 2017 Garmin 12 inch screens. 2024 Replaced Raw water pump freshwater pump. Boat has been stored inside except for a 2024 season. When purchased the end of 2022 previous owner had the interior cockpit cushions done As well, I have the original outriggers not on the boat need updated work. If you know, the Grady White 33 express you’ll understand the quality and craftsmanship. Boat has been barely fished. I don’t think the live well has ever been used. Has full Canvas and a cockpit awning. The engines are 2015 Yamaha 300 hp 4 stroke with 300 hours. Professionally maintained I am currently replacing spark plugs, thermostats and water pumps. Fischer Panda diesel generator low hours. I also ran the network up from the engines added an extra network patch block so all engine information is displayed on the Garmins. I feel the boat is great to excellent condition.

Nothing personal, I don’t have a dog in the fight, but I think you are expecting premium dollars from a boat that for all intents and purposes has been “rebuilt” from a totaled state.

I just sold my 2007 307 Bimini, with zero damage history, for $99k (asked $120k). It’s a tough market out there. IMO, no offense, you won’t see anywhere near $148k. I would be surprised if you saw $100k.

The barrier you are against, REGARDLESS OF THE QUALITY OF THE REPAIR, is the extensive nature of the repair. Basically, 1/3 of the boat has been removed and replaced. For me, I wouldn’t feel comfortable taking it offshore in any significant weather.

Grady White had a design flaw in the early 2000's with the rear vents on both the port and starboard side. This is a known issue with GW esp. 2002 - 2008 30 and 33 Express Cruisers.
The repair was done professionally prior to me purchasing the boat by a very reputable fiberglass company that works a majority of the tome on GW for a very reputable GW dealer in the area.
It is as good as new if not better. Like putting disk breaks in a 65 mustang. Modern technology does wonders.

There's usually always two sides to every story or topic... here in regard to pricing, on the one hand pricing isn't going to be the same everywhere throughout the country. What a boat sells for in Florida isn't likely going to be what it sells for in the northeast, and what they sell for on the east coast likely isn't going to be what they sell for out here on the west coast/PNW area. A great example would be the boat that I purchased, in that I bought her for $26.5k back in Maryland and 3 almost identical boats have sold here in the Seattle area during that time for $55k-$65k. So, just because a boat sells for say $100k in Florida, that doesn't necessarily mean it's a $100k boat everywhere else.

That being said and on the other end of the spectrum, there are quite a few Grady White 330 Express boats for sale online currently for that price range, similar condition, motors, etc... 28 in fact, and over 57 total at least on the BoatTrader.com website. As well as a good deal of those boats seem to have a "Price Drop" flag or notification by them, which would make me think that the used 330 Express boat market seems a bit overly saturated at the moment. To the OP... it's your boat and you can list it for whatever price you'd like to. I'd highly recommend adding some pictures on here as well as add it to one or more boat sales websites like Boat Trader, or something similar, as this website doesn't always generate a ton of traffic on it. Or, you could always make a Craigslist ad or something similar, post the link from there onto your post here for those that wish to see the pictures, as you're pretty limited to the size of the pictures that you can add on this website. Either way, good luck with the sale and hopefully you get the price you want for your boat.

most of this generation 330 express boats have had fiberglass work done or need it. As for the price, It's reasonable for a repowered 330 express. consider that boats with original power go for the 100K range give or take. He's asking 148 which probably means he'd take 140. go ahead and buy an original powered boat, go through the torture of repowering it and spend the 70-80K it will cost.... or buy this boat where someone else already suffered... and did the fiberglass work for you as a bonus!

He is very upfront with the work that has been done and is expecting to have a discussion about that topic with individuals interested in purchasing the boat. For you guys to throw shade on his boat, which you know nothing about, on a public forum is detestable. Actions such as this makes the Great Grady forums reputation just a little less shiny. If you want to engage in crap like that, go over to that website we all know, where that kind of activity is the norm. I think you are both lucky you are not sitting on a barstool next to RockLobster.

First of all, it seems like you're being a bit more confrontational here than I ever was. Second, I'm not sure what kind of crap you're referring to in regard to my comments? I thought my comments were very neutral and even gave the OP a good deal of advice by suggesting to him that he should add some pictures, or potentially a Craigslist link, maybe use other boat sales sites to get more views so that he can have the best chance at selling the boat as GG doesn't get a ton of traffic on it... of which he even replied with a thumbs up emoji. I wouldn't say that's anywhere near engaging in crap, nor is it detestable at all. If the OP is offended by it, he can send me a personal message stating so, of which I will gladly apologize and delete my previous post. In regards to the pricing comments, those were more aimed toward the other member who mentioned he personally had a hard time selling his boat and that he was trying to sell his boat in Florida. Comparatively, the OP is trying to sell his boat in Massachusetts, which are completely different regions, and in so many words I was trying to tell the other member that just because he struggled with trying to get his asking price for his boat, which is a completely different size/model mind you, as well as is in a different location over a thousand miles away... that doesn't really mean that the OP is going to have the same struggle. In regard to the other comments about availability and the number of boats available, that's just common knowledge for anyone with half a brain and that can do a simple Google search. As mentioned above, if the OP is at all offended by my comments or for any reason would like me to delete them, I'll be more than happy to do so as well as apologize if my above comments were offensive toward him. Either way, this will be my last post in the thread here so as to not derail it any further. Mustang, if you think this is helpful to a man trying to advertise his boat, telling any potential buyers that there are innumerable other boats like his to look at, is helpful, you have a differing view of what's helpful than I.
