Hello Collective:
Have a few questions about the 2006 Bimini 306. I'm "upgrady-ing" my 1997 Chase 263 to the bigger 2006 Bimini 306. Found the boat in Key West and the seller accepted my offer. Super excited! This will be my third Grady (209, 263 and now the 306). I plan on driving her down from Key West to Roatan Honduras first week of May. I've done the trip before in a Blackfin 33 Combi. Lots of fun, but we were lucky and didn't hit a wave over 3 feet the whole way down. The questions I have are:
1. Has anyone done a trip like this in the Bimini 306?
2. Is it too small of a boat? I've had my 263 in some real slop, but I know the passage from Cuba to Isla Mujers can be really sloppy.
3. What's the range I can expect with twin 250 Yamaha Four Strokes with 4 adults and about 1000lbs of gear? Can I get close to 250 miles or will i need a fuel bladder?

We plan on stopping in Havana, Cabo San Antonio, Isla Mujers, Cozumel, Ambergis Cay and the Roatan topping off at each stop. The only leg I'm worried about is the Havana-CaboSA-Isla Mujers leg because of the fuel availability issue. It's 275nm from Havana to Isla Mujers.

Thanks in advance for the help.

No advice? Another question, what are the speaker sizes on the 306 hardtop built in enclosures?
