Went to check if there was water in my pod and the plug failed, called Grady and the bracket manufacture is out of business and they don't have any replacement parts, Was thinking of drilling and tapping and installing a plastic plug. Seem to be getting a bit of water in the bracket was also thinking of 3m 5200 around where the bracket and hull meet . has any one experienced these problems

my 232 had water. i removed the access plate from the top of the bracket and re-bed it with a lot of below waterline caulk. ( the transom joint should already be well caulked, but if not, hit that too.) didn't fill up again.

mine had a nylon plug in the bottom. i filled the middle with 5200 as it seemed a little weak the way it was designed. used grease when installing to ensure easy removal with little force. you may want to check around to see if any place has some in stock. good luck, ron

Some people fill the bracket up with empty Gatorade/water bottles. If it leaks you will at least still maintain most of the buoyancy. :dance
