I just took delivery of my 2016 205 Freedom. Took it for a short run (about 10 miles round trip) and it exceeded my expectations. I got the new I4 200 Yamaha and I have to say that it is the perfect match for this boat. The boat jumps up on plane, has good acceleration and a decent top end. It is also very quit and smooth. I have to give a big shout-out to Taylor Marine in Milford. The owner Dirk, the General Manager Dave the Salesman Jeff and the Technician Gary. The did an excellent job and treated me great from the moment I started looking at boats through delivery of the new boat.

Did you take her out into the Delaware Bay yet? Took a 225 for a spin his weekend and wonder if a 205 will get the job done for light offshore duty.

I'm sure that the 205 will handle the Delaware Bay and the ocean. I bought mine with the intention of fishing both the Delaware and Chesapeake Bays as well as 10 to 15 miles offshore in the ocean. I had it out on the Chesapeake this past weekend and there was a 2 to 3 foot chop and I was able to run 25 to 30 mph with very little spray getting into the boat.

Nice rig... They are always nice at the point of sale. When you have warranty or repair work done is when you will know if they are worth their salt....
