With the end of 2016 rapidly approaching it's that time to start thinking of off-season repairs/upgrades. What are some of the ones you are thinking of?

Some off of my list for my 272 Sailfish include;

- Adding LED to the sides/front of the top
- Center rigger (maybe)
- Plano box storage inside the cabin (design from this board)
- Trim out are where I removed the fridge that is now used for storage and add canvas type cover
- Add rod storage
- Add fuel flow sensors to Garmin network

First on the list for me is an autopilot, I've placed an order for the new Simrad package. Then a stereo once I settle on speaker placement. The rest of the list is nice if it gets done, ok for another time if not :D remove old engine wiring harness and make custom length battery cables to clean up the bilge area a bit, under gunnel LED lights, remove outriggers and have hardtop refinished. I'm sure I'll think of half a dozen more throughout the day!

On our 2002 282, it's about time we get after replacing the gunnel and transom bolsters, so that's focus number one. Couple of cushions will get minor repairs as well.

Oil change, lower unit lube, engine flush and winterization is standard. Water pumps were done last year so we'll check the housings/bolts when I change the drive shaft bushings (idle squeal).

In the off season I think we're going to work on pulling the deck plate to inspect/clean the tops of the tanks and the bilge, and re-seal the deck plate and access ports again.

The original trim tab hinges are showing their age, so new trim tabs, keeping the original actuators and pump hardware.

I'd like to continue replacing incandescent bulbs with LEDs where there are direct replacements that can use the existing hardware.

The Simrad AP11 autopilot control head is going out for repair before I consider spending money on a fully updated autopilot system.

Fresh bottom paint in the spring. If it's a warm spring I may remove the cabin window assemblies for cleaning, re-sealing, and new gaskets because I know they're leaking.

With the windows out it gives an excellent opportunity to compound the dog-house really well and bring up the shine a bit!

Boring list but this is all about function and value maintenance.
