Is it 5/8"-18? I have a seastar system and that seems to be what Amazon thinks. I want to replace the OEM one with one that has a built in steering knob.

If anyone wants the stock one, it's yours once I'm happy with the replacement.

I like the ball placement on the integrated Schmidt. Less chance to take the ball in your ball bag if you know what I'm saying....

Lewmar also makes one. I plan to add one to my steering wheel when spring finally comes.

Had an Edson on my SeaCraft and will eventually buy one for the Grady. Something classic about those Edson wheels that I like.

Ditto on the Edson knob. Heavy, classic and once tightened it stays secure. Added it to my 330 years ago and have been extremely pleased. I have the Schmitt with built-in knob on my Scout and I actually prefer the Edson. Much cheaper than buying a new wheel.

The stock wheel (as in the pic) is a Schmidt. They make the exact wheel with an integrated ball as well.
