Dealer replied with 150' rope and 15' of chain.

Still waiting delivery of our 236 but I think my dealer said 200 feet. I am assuming you have the windlass.

From Boat.ed:
Determining how long your anchor rode should be is as simple as multiplying the deepest water you expect to anchor in by 8. As for rope size, the rule of thumb is 1/8" of rope diameter for every 9' of boat length. So if you expect to anchor your 26' boat in 30' of water, you need 240' of 3/8" nylon rope.

That's different than what I was told. I too have a 236 Fisherman coming soon, hopefully in as little as 3 weeks. My dealer said he expected to get 300 feet of anchor + chain on the windlass. I will report back after rigging.

Now my interest is peaked. Checking with my dealer on his thoughts.

Good, that matches with what my dealer said. I will let yall know what the final outcome is in as little as 3 to 4 weeks once my new boat is rigged out. The way i understand it is that Grady installs the windlass, but the dealer installs the anchor, chain, and rope.

Yes, you are correct. The dealer does the rope, chain and anchor.

I got my boat. It has 15 feet of chain and 275 feet of rope for a total of 300 feet of rope and chain

Nice! When did you get yours? I still haven't officially "taken delivery" yet. Just this morning I told the dealer where I wanted the electronics installed at, which they will complete early next week,

Same here, just a deposit at this point. Electronics and canvas in progress. 14 degrees and snow in MI so no rush on final delivery. Thinking May before splash down.

I ordered my boat back in October, so I was very happy to see it when it came in a few days ago. I'll take mine home in a week or so. I'll go fish Texas state waters for red snapper later this month. The fishing in Gavleston Bay doesn't heat up until around late April or early May, then the federal water red snapper will be in the summer but the dates still TBD by the feds.

Dealer had a stock boat arrive in December and I grabbed it. Family boating in Lake Michigan for now but maybe fishing in my future. Always wanted a CC. I think it will be perfect for our needs.
