216 Fusion stereo software update

I have a 2021 model 216 and I need to access the rear of my Fusion Stereo. There is an access door inside the console but it isn’t up high enough to get to the back of the stereo. There’s a plastic panel up higher but it doesn’t screws or latches. Does anyone know if its removable? Thanks in advance.

Yes, that panel is removable. It has plastic snaps on the back. To remove the panel, gently pull it off along the edges. When you're done, push it back on. Be sure to push all along the panel, so it is securely in all of the snaps. Pay attention to which edge is the top and which is the bottom.

Do you have a Garmin MFD?
If so and Fusion is connected to MFD then you should be able to update the fusion thru a SD card or ActiveCaptain.
