Mine runs through a rigging tube, yours is in a rigging loom with electrical tape.

Did you ever figure out what you wanted to do to fix your rigging?
You may be able to remove the zip tie which will let you separate the two halves and remove electrical tape and slip it over the rigging grommet and reattach the halves and new zip tie. Or get a rigging tube.
