235 Freedom vs 255

I am looking at the Freedom DC and am wondering just how much more room the 255 has over the 235.. I Just sold a long owned downeast express and want to downsize. It's to be kept on a mooring. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Virtually the same. Almost identical, except you lose the swim platforms (which is one of my favorite features of the 235). Hold out a few months and Grady is releasing a new 265 Freedom. They are discontinuing the 255 and 275 and going with a 265 that is 6" wider (the 235, 255, and 275 are all 8'6" beam... the new 265 is 9'), has a tuna door, and retains the swim platforms. The story is I think the 255 and 275 had a lot of complaints from owners and were not very popular, so they completely redesigned the 265 based on feedback and are getting rid of the 255 and 275.
