**update*** My 1980 240 offshore is becoming a project, but hopefully I will get her going soon. It has a 1990 evinrude 200 that had just been "rebuilt" when I got her..Short story it now has a melted piston!! but hey thats life, pulling the powerhead this week and taking it to a reputable builder. I figured I would go this route due to just driving to RI 800 miles to pick up a used 225 Johnson that wasn't any better than mine. Oh well at least I was able to check out the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island then spend a couple of days in Washington DC all while looking cool with a wrecked outboard hanging out of my truck. I guess I will have a couple of weeks before the engine is ready to reassemble, so I picked up everything to get the wiring in better than new condition. I am building this rig to be a dive boat but its getting tough especially on a Firefighters budget. All that is left to track down is some cushions and also a couple of tank racks. Figured someone would like to enjoy my story Pics coming soon!!

tank racks?

I have a set of tank racks that I am willing to sell. I took them off my 95 seafarer six years ago and they have been sitting in my basement since. there are two sections that are identical and each length can hold four tanks. If your interested give me a shout. reasonable $

Yeah, It is life I just upgraded from a weekender to a 24' Offshore and it needs a new long block. It has a Volvo 5.7L Inboard/Outboard thats only 4 years old but the person who sold it to me winterized it wrong and needed to get rid of it, it was a steal so its worth the work that is going into it. But wont be in the water till april 2010.

24 offshore

No I found the boat locally, NC. It was on a boat lift and drove it to the ramp. It actually didn't run too bad considering it was only running on 5 cylinders.
