240 Offshore Leaking windows

My 1988 Off Shore 240 has leaking windows. The water was running into the cuddy and I see that the black rubber seal seems to have shrunk. I have a few questions on the issue at hand. Should I remove the window the windows and reseal with tape and then install new rubber seal? Is it easy to remove the window....how do I approach that? Screw all that and load the seal up with black caulk and make it look as good as possible? Help me out!! Thanks in advance.

Here are the windows. You can see the black rubber seal has shrunk and water comes in the gap on the port side-port window. Kind of the same deal with the starboard window.

Did this one too. Completely removed the frames and glass. Took it to an auto glass shop and had the glass rebedded with butyl(?)
Reinstalled with 4000 sealant. Some of the screws completely missed going through any fiberglass so I rebuild the edges with epoxy.
Be sure to use sealant on all the screws as well. The black strips are cosmetic I believe.
To remove the glass, use a piano/guitar wire with wooden handles. Cleaned all the old sealant with acetone which saved costs.
 
Thanks. I plan on trying to tackle this job Monday. I'll be using the butyl and 4000 sealant also. I did get new rubber from Marine Glass Specialties

George was helpful in pointing me in the right direction. Rubber seals were not overly expensive and will trim the windows nice. Does anyone have a secrete to protect them from the damaging sun rays? any coating that I can put on?

As mentioned above, the outer black rubber strips are primarily cosmetic. Mine had started to shrink so I just filled the gap with LifeCaulk and faired it to match.

Considering this stuff usually lasts at least a decade or two, in terms of 'protecting' it, I'm not sure it's really something to worry about. But the best stuff I know of 303. You'd want to use it on a regular basis.
