new member and new grady white owner, just picked up a 1990 sailfish in sept. twin 200 2001 mercurys carbed engines not optimax. the fuel numbers from a few times out i came up with is around 1.3 to 1.5 gph. just wondering what kind of rate other people get. does this sound about right. i'm buying a floscan to get the most but until then. thanks

if you're propped correctly...that is,if the engines reach their full rated rpm, when the boat is fully loaded...the ten percent rule will apply...meaning,you've got 400total hp...take ten percent of that number,40,your rig will burn approx 40gph at full throttle,at cruise you should be burning approx half that number,20gph...you can check that with a flo scan and it will hold very true...
a big difference in fuel milage,is to be sure you've got the boat propped correctly...
