Did the 252 sailfish get renamed to the 28 sailfish ? Is this the same hull?

Yes....and no...

In 1995, the hull was redesigned and the "euro" transom was added. This increased the length of the boat from 25'4" to 27'10". However, for GW purposes, the running length of the hull was the same. And the SeaV2 design was the same.

Hope this confuses you even more :grin:

Nope, confirms what I had thought. The 28 is really the old 25 SV2 with the integrated bracket. Thanks.

Not correct.

252 is not the same as the 282 or even the 272. Early 272 added euro transom. 1998/1999 the 272 added extended running surface and can float 4 strokes and the added running surface improved handling. Also, the plastic thru hulls changed over to SS. Many improvements including adding greenwood. So, only the late 272's are the same as the 282 hull's. The 282's brought other changes topsides. The old 25's do not compare.
