Looking for some feedback on the size pump being used on the 23 gallons live-well? Also, does anyone have the size of the seacock? I have decided to step up my fishing game and plan to put my live well back in the boat. I had originally pulled it out for more space. Appreciate any feedback..

Check out the Shurflo Baitwell pump. I believe this is what GW uses.

The size of the pump is related to the livewell size which you know and the type of bait you want to use it for. Too big a pump and some baits can drown. Too small a pump and bait can suffocater. Google for live well changes per hour and go from there. It is possible that the live well feed was shared with a sea water washdown if the boat had one. In that case you wouldn't need a new scoop through hull.
On another note, the water pickup often was a scoop, If so, you should replace with the same.. The tank also needs a drain to a thru hull usually above the water line. The thru size will be the same as the drain fitting at the bottom of the live well. I assume you still have the original tank.

Thanks. Yes the boat has its own scoop and does not tie into the wash down. Its already plumbed for an over flow. I just need to information for the size pump and/or se cock. Ill reach out to GW directly and see if they have the information.

Was/is there a scoop for the ol livewell? If so, it would have a seacock on iy already. I'm a bit confused.

Here is a link to an article about livewell pump sizing and other good info.
