Do you need both seacocks open if your pumping out head at a pump out station?

Don't believe either needs to be open. I use a pump out with my 265 and it works fine with both seacocks closed.

2 seacoks? There's usually just one for overboard discharge.

No, absolutely do not need to be open. In fact, it's probably best that they're closed. Depending on what style of macerator you have (there's different kinds) and how powerful the pump-out machine is, there's a possibility of damaging the macerator (duckbills, if you have them) and/or sucking up sea water.

No need to open seacocks. Should pump out just fine.

greetings, should I ever close the seacock on my 265? I've been leaving it open all the time. We are off shore most of the time, and I pump out regularly. Is that an issue, or should I close it when not pumping out?

thanks
