I'm getting an estimate on having a pair of end caps fabricated from SS... If anyone needs a pair, let me know, and maybe we can get a better unit price...

There are many options, type and sizes out there. When you see the costs, the rubber ones may look more attractive:)

Here is one example

Came across this topic as I am looking for rub rail end caps for a 2001 265 Express. I know this is a dated forum topic but does anyone know where to get any? They seem to be proprietary just to Grady White, no one makes an after market version? TIA

Do you still have your old ones? I hit mine with a heat gun, sanded them, and painted them. Looks great.

Hey SeaVee. Wish I did because that sounds like a great idea. Unfortunately, I only have one. I just picked this boat up recently

Too Tall - did info provided above give you something that would work? Barbour Plastics is another source to check into.

You might be able to find something nicer/better than original, too.

I will look into that. Unfortunately, the end cap I have isn't straight forward. It has a flange extension, which seems to be the most difficult thing to find.

Yeah, Unfortunately I do, as it actually covers off a gap in the transom finish where water can ingress in if not covered. Might just have to get some regular ones and make some flanges that can insert at the end of the rub rail, to be held in place by the end cap. Time to buy a 3D printer, lol

Oof - that's not nice -- of Grady to do that!

I guess, no matter what you end up with, fill that hole with some good goop?

Yeah, I guess if you can't find something off the shelf, then a little inventiveness is needed!

I've seen SS end caps that are flat on that backside... to which a small plate of SS can be cut to match and gooped/screwed on (screwed to the end cap).

Thanks DennisG01. It's what I figure I have to do
