Has anyone actually weighed there 265 on a scale? There’s not one near me so I’ve been guesstimating. Starting to look for a new tow vehicle and trying to get a more specific #’s.
TIA,

No, I haven't. But you can get really, really close just by doing the math.

Take the dry weight from GW's site or your owner's manual. Add your engine weights. Then add for the gas tank sizes, batteries, gear and your trailer weight (it's listed on most titles). If you run with more stuff (ice/etc) then add that.

That will get you close enough as makes no difference. You shouldn't be getting a truck that is right at the limit, anyways, so the 3rd grade math will work for 'ya! :)

Assuming you are going to launch to go fishing.....My guestimate is easily over 10k. without the trailer....
Realistically, you need a 3/4 ton truck

5400 hull
1000 hardtop & canvas
1500 250 gals of gas
1200 motors
200 Batteries

9300 before gear & ice

I have seen a couple of 265’s without a hardtop.

I don’t tow too often. My dealer is 5 miles away. My ramp is a mile away and my gas station is about 2 miles away. It stays on the lift behind my house mostly.I will pull it out and fill it up at the Wawa to save me some donuts but generally only for service or hurricane haulout.
I’m guesstimating 10,500 with trailer.
Here’s my problem, I have an incredible tow vehicle. But it’s 25 years old and wife is getting sick of it. But she doesn’t want a pickup. Anybody tow a 265 with a Suburban or Expedition ?

I wouldn't concern yourself if whether or not someone trailered a "265". Just reference the weight - after all, for the most part, weight is weight is weight.

Is the 10,500 after doing the math?

Looks like you can cheat a little bit, as well, if that is a far as you're going to trailer.

Do you NEED to get rid of the 25-year old? Can you keep it and get a different vehicle for daily driving?

I've towed with both Sub's and Exp's. Much more so with Sub's. I used to have a boat that weighed in right around 10K and I towed that with a '98 3/4 ton Suburban. Never had an issue with stability, breaking, etc, etc. I towed very regularly, sometimes over 500 miles at a shot.
