Hey there- Getting ready to pick up my new to me 265Express and was going to order some graphics for the transom. Does anybody know about how much room I am working with there? The boat is not real local to me so I can not just go down and measure.

Also any suggestions on colors /fonts that look cool are welcome.

Boat Name
Sydiam (daughter is Sydney, son is Liam)

17" long x 13" either side. Not a lot of space. I prefer the name on the transom but because of the lack of space we put ours here........and we chose Dark blue over Gold shadow same as Grady White and stripes; looks excellent. Tanami is aboriginal for "never dry"

size...whatever you think is big enough, go one step higher (wish I did) but the color would look nice if you matched the GW blue and gold on your factory GW letters.....I like the font to follow the meaning of the name, so to speak.

My 265 did not say "Grady white" on the side like most of them -
I put my name there - same dark blue with gold highlights as mentioned above-

Check out New England Lettering. They Know the Grady colors if that's what you're interestied in and will do a nice job for you. Very helpful with size, position etc. If you visit them, they have photo albums with many Gradys to compare. They will install or school you in exactly how to do it yourself which is what I did. It was a snap.

They used to be on High Street in Danvers but it looks like they moved down towards Pope's Landing. If you went to the boat show in February then you may have seen them.

I put mine on the starboard side of the transom. Not into big names on the side of boats. It looks good there. I have a pic somewhere I'll post when I find it

I think that is exactly what I am thinking - If you have a chance to post some picts, that would be great.

They're a little over 2 inches

Charlie Wade at Impact Expressions did this. And a similar name for my buddies 2470 Pursuit with a bucktail and striper.

Boat Name

family nickname is EPPE, my grandpas boats were always named that...so, we went with plain black vinly letters (just had a local shop make it) and put it on ourselves....

Its affordable, easy to do and easy to fix or replace if a letter gets messed up from a dock or gaff...I think they were 8 inches, had to work around some drain holes and we have one one each side of the boat, just under the GW logo, near the stern, looks great!
