Well I was scheduled to go in the drink until I checked these hoses. Replaced port side already 1 hour. Starboard got the hoses off the 90s thru deck. What’s the secret to get off the stainless thru hull. I would like not to cut a hole in boat wondering if anyone else accomplished. This feat with out cutting a hole in boat. Thanks.

Most cut an access hole. Some have claimed to have paid others who got it done without cutting a hole, but no one has posted how to pull it off. I haven't seen the 282 first hand, but would imagine it is similar to the Islander. I've kicked around a couple ideas. One was a battery or air ratchet on an extension stick to loosen the clamps.
Another was to get one of my svelt teenage kids to slide in there. Possibly pull batteries and tie some wires out of the way to make access a little easier.
I'm not crazy about putting a pie plate on the nonskid outside the door. I've seen several do this. I do think I could put a hole big enough under the door on the vertical wall to get my hand back in there. I don't know if anyone who has tried it.

If you remove all the batteries, and are small enough, you can get inside the battery hatch area and reach to remove and replace.

Using a heat gun to make the hoses softer for removal and install is a must.

it is a pain in the ass for only small workers, but you have no hole left behind.

I've looked at the battery compartment as a way to access the thru hull end of the hoses. It would be a very very tight squeeze for me to get in there; as mentioned maybe one of the kids is small enough to shove in there and pull it off but I'd probably never be comfortable unless it was me that put the hose over the barb on the thru hull and tightened the clamps.

Got it done today starboard side took 5 hours and cut an access hole on wall behind door. Still had to get in battery compartment to replace drain 90s it was a bitch cutting hoses off when u can’t see what you’re doing. Hope I never have to do this again 26290216-1269-4BDE-A078-F6CA29BFBB00.jpeg26290216-1269-4BDE-A078-F6CA29BFBB00.jpeg26290216-1269-4BDE-A078-F6CA29BFBB00.jpeg

I'm late to the party but yep I did this last year and I had to cut a hole in the location posted above. Honestly was the hardest job on this boat thus far. Most off the work being done by feel. Insane. I wanted to replace the actual thru Hulls as well, but gave up on trying to find a way to loosen the nut. I didn't want to cut them out without being 100 percent sure I could replace them without problems securing from inside.
