My wife and I do it all the time - I am 6 feet and it is comfortable in the forward berth. The mid berth my Golden Retriever uses but it is ok for 1 adult.
Not sure exactly how different the size is between a sailfish and marlin mid berth... But my Marlin has more than enough room for an adult. It a lot more space than I expected!

I’m 5’8” and I have to use a half-round pillow below my knees to be able to lay flat on my back in the mid-berth. With my knees raised some, not to the extreme, I can be quite comfortable on our custom mattress. Not on the durable, but overly firm mattress Grady provides.
My 10 year old stays in there overnight, no issues. When they were little both my kids slept in there, again no prob. I've slept in there before as have buddies of mine on long trips, it's fine for an adult as well. The bigger issue if you don't have AC is that it is a little steamier in there than the V due to less airflow. Add foam rubber or some other cushion though, the original ones are stone. Marlin mid is double the size.
