I had Friday off so after carrying out the wife's demandments I splashed my new F225 at Sandy Point State Park at the foot of the Bay Bridhe on the Chesapeake Bay. It has been cold and windly lately and we had Small Craft Warnings, but Fraday was the warmest it's been and it wasn't blowing that bad. That Liquid Roller spray I put on the bunks works pretty good and the boat came off the trailer much easier on the slightly inclined ramps at SPSP. The F225 is a completly different deal than my old Parker 21' deep vee WAC. I love the quiet 4-cycle engine behind the enclosed transom and the 2' engine bracket. I don't care too much for the trim tabs which are much smaller then the ones on my old boat and less responsive. But maybe it's just a case of me getting used to them?? Anyway it was blowing 10-12 with gusts up to 20 and a 1-2 foot chop on the Bay. The boat likes to run at 33 mph and 25-27 mph looks like the most economical cruising speed. The fine entry bow cut through the Bay chop better then and wide bow on the old Parker and the windshield provided good protection from the weather. I was afraid it was too low and my head would stick up to high, but things were just fine. I did get some spray on the windshield which I'm not used to, but that's OK. It was a comfortable ride so I guess the SeaV2 hull was working?? I love the new bunk trailer because it carries the boat much lower than my old roller trailer, which makes it much easier for my senior citizen body to climb in and out. I don't care too much for how the bimini top stows in the boat and I don't how how to stow the canvas package which is in a nice rolled bag.....that says Do Not Fold the canvas. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Maybe I'll get another chance to splash it again this weekend

I've only taken my new F225 out twice, each time very briefly, and also noticed the trim tabs were not very responsive. I'm hoping I once I get used to them, I might find them more useful. They are definetly much smaller than the ones I'm used to.
