Most of you have seen my boat for sale here for awhile. Well we decided to get one more long weekend before she goes. Thursday we went out for grouper and thunderstorms were set right over my #'s. I watched them on the radar and stayed several miles away from them. While we waited for them to move I trolled and looked for new ground. After about an hour I found some. Over the next 3 days this new hole gave up 51 grouper, 16 of them went over 20#. We released dozens of legeal fish and only kept fish 25" and over(22" min.)
Thursday we had a limit of 25 with 5 anglers.
Friday we had a limit of 9 with just the wife and I (9 because the captain can't count to 10
) realesed at least a dozen other legeal fish.
Saturday we kept 17, I caught a 24#er on my spinning rod. It rocked me 3 times and I had to go to the bow and work him under the anchor line.
You can fill the 396 quart fish box on a Marlin. The last on in the box squished some water out when we shut the lid!
