Has anybody had any issues with either of these boats seeing the gauges behind the electronics. From all the pictures that I have seen it seems when you sit on the helm chair and the electronics are up you cannot see those gauges.

i have a 330. no problem seeing the gauges. i rarely sit, mostly standing. i'm 5'5". you actually only raise the pod to its maximum height when you are working on the electronics. other than that, you raise it high enough to see your equipment (which is still pretty high). ron

Just bought the 305 and had a 2 hour ride home .I sat most of the way and had no problem seeing the gauges.Just take the position u want to drive in and lift till u can see both.

I have had the opposite experience to those last few posts. I do sit when I drive, and am 5'11'' tall. Unless i keep the seat extremely high on the pedestal, where it is not comfortable to put my feet on the built in foot rest, it is difficult to see the gauges. I have to keep the electronics box lower than I would like in order to see them. The Raymarine E120 has user buttons on the bottom of the unit, which are nearly hidden if I keep the box low enough to see the gauges. I find it uncomfrtable to stand and drive because there is not much room between the seat and stearing wheel. No fat jokes, I weigh about 180 pounds.
