Trying to find a replacement air conditioning unit for our 305 Express and so far no luck for a direct replacement. Seems the newer units all have the compressor on the left side if evaporator which i don't see working out. The original unit is a Dometic VRD7K/2-GW and is made so the evaporator is right against the fresh air inlet duck. Just curious if anyone has figured out a replacement unit? Ours is still working but seems a little louder than it should be.

For problems like this I usually will call both Grady and my local dealer for a solution as I'm sure it has probably come up before. As far as the noise goes are you sure its the unit itself or the air intake door where the filter is under the steps that is vibrating? The door on my boat would vibrate creating a noise. If this is the case, then It can be easily fixed with a little weather stripping.
