So,
My creek was recently dredged and we’re finalizing the new dock/lift design. I currently have a 265, but one day hope to move to a 305. Do you think a 14k lift would be enough for a 305? Could a 12k work? I can’ find the weight of a 305 .
TIA,
SeaVee

You just need to go back in time... Grady archives all of their brochures, so just go back to when a 305 was produced and you can get the specs that way. Make sure you add for engines, water, fuel, possible options and gear. And build in a margin of error, as well. I would think 10% on top of those other things should be more than sufficient.

the 2011 305 weighed like 8850lbs without engines.

Add in 1200 for engines, and whatever else and you get your #'s. Remember to factor in the gas, water, whatever you want, worst case.

As stated check the dry weight and then look up the engine weights, fuel and water at 6lbs per gallon. Ass in gear and supplies. I'd estimate 13k for that boat. A 14k should do it.

Look up the performance bulletins as opposed to the specs. They provide loaded weights for performance testing, more real world. I have a 330 express on a 20K# lift that is working just fine.
