335 Express Grady White, 2005. 2 Repowered Suzuki 300's ... and having a problem with selecting the right propellers . Cannot trim out the motors without causing cavitation . Any info would be appreciated.

can't help with those, but i put XL4s on my 2009 with F350s. virtually no ventilation, increased bite, and stable mpg over a wide rpm range. i lost about 3-4 mpn on top end, but i don't do top end. good luck, ron

Suzukis are geared for big props.
Go BIG. Go 4 Blade
For reference I have a 265 express with suzuki 200s with 4 blade 15.25 x 22.

Also, don't get hung up on max rpm. There is a range for a reason.

if the XL4 that seems to be used with Yamahas are available for Suzuki engines. Would you expect the same kind of performance?

you'll have to ask the dealer (or prop specialist). mine did run pretty much on point to the Yamaha perf bulletin.

suzuki has its own line of 4 blades or look at Powertech OSF-4 (15.25" dia) or LSF-4 (16"dia)

Yamaha F300 has a 1.75:1 gear ratio. Suzuki DF300 has a 2.08:1 gear ratio so one would expect to run a bigger prop
(more precisely, you would expect the suzuki to rev higher with the same prop as the yamaha, all other things being equal)

Thanks goes out to everyone who has contributed to our question!!!

We just cannot seem to find a prop selection matrix for our 335 Express with the twin 300 HP Suzuki. The 4th set of props the dealer has tried, and that are on the boat now, are Lexor Plus 9572-160-19. Maybe some additional information might be helpful. The first set of props were "standard factory recommended" and they just were terrible as you could not get out of the hole - just ventilated.

At some point the dealer decided to reverse the rotation of the engines using Suzuki's electronic rotation selection feature and this seemed to help. I suspect having the rotations coming toward each other, as contrasted to away from each other, i.e., where the starboard engine is RH turn and port is LH turn. Has anyone heard of this?

The engines have all the power you would want but you have to be very careful to not over accelerate as the water column just brakes and the motors just ventilate. Currently, at 6,000 RPM I am getting GPS speed at 29 MPH with trim tabs full bow down. If I pull the tabs back, the boat starts to "squat" as the aft drops as does the speed. Very frustrating!!!!!

Lexor Plus 9572-160-19 are 16 dia x 19 pitch 3 blade....not nearly enough...

I had the same acceleration blow out problem with 3 blade 16 x21s on my DF200s
All the zuke/grady expresses that I know of have 4 blade props.
4 blades lift the stern......
...did I mention 4 blades?

if it were me, knowing what I know after trying props on my 265 express with DF200s, I would start with 4 blade 16 x 22s
If you can top out at 5900-6000 with them you'll be doing 40+
If you can't get 5900 then go down to 21 pitch or changed to 15.25 diameter


Also, imho, tabs always screw you. Try testing with tabs all UP, motor trim down, trim up motors once you start to plane

i'm not a tech, but even i know there is something wrong with the numbers you posted.
